Pain or dysfunction in the head and neck region, which are known as orofacial pains, have been observed to be highly prevalent. Some pain diagnosed as office syndrome has also categorized in this group. Orofacial pain is challenging for dentists to give proper treatment because these pains can be triggered by various reasons. Dentists should have thorough knowledge about these types of pains from their causes, pathologies, and symptoms, to their investigations, diagnosis, and treatments. However, this course will cover an overview of orofacial pain for both dentist and students. The types of orofacial pains will be classified. The brief optional treatments for each type of pain will also be given.
